Monitoring ProCurve (E-series) switches - what to use

I have four 2910al-24G switches I wish to monitor, and HP has stated that PCM Plus is no longer available/has been discontinued.   I attempted to load the MIBs into HP SIM but ran into compatibility issues with the MIBs and SIM, as another forum entry mentioned about needing to rename the MIBs, etc.  (see http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1061315)

Does any one have a recommendation on an application that will receive the snmp traps from the switches and send out alert notifications?  If not, has anyone been successful with getting the MIBs compiled and registered with Systems Insight Manager 6.0?

CORRECTION - The HP PCM+ network management platform is still available and there is no end-of-sale planned. Version 3.20 of the PCM+ management suite was released just six months ago (Nov-2010) and updates have both been released and are in plan. In addition, I want to ensure you that development is already underway on the next release of this management platform and it will continue to manage all HP E-Series, V-Series and many A-Series networking products.
