Re: PCM 3 upgrade problem
You could also give a try of doing a complete reboot of the PCM server.

Re: PCM 3 upgrade problem
So in your case, taking backup from 2.3 and then restoring in 3.0 may not work. Instead while you install 3.0, there would be a DB migration flow which will take you through the process of migrating the old db to the required new DB format.
Meanwhile to get an insight to your problem, can you have the following files attached to your next reply:
These files would be present under "
ConJCoreMain*.log
CS-ClientUpdateEnforcer*.log
CS-err*.log
CS-out*.log
nmcore.Monitor*.log
Additionally, these files from the
post_install_log.txt
pre_install_log.txt
HP_ProCurve_Manager_InstallLog.log

Re: PCM 3 upgrade problem
After the installation (upgrade from 2.3), upon the first launch PNM asked for the location of javaw.exe. I pointed it to the file located in the windows\system32 directory.

Re: PCM 3 upgrade problem
=====================
I am having the exact same issue. Has there been any progress made on a solution?
After the installation (upgrade from 2.3), upon the first launch PNM asked for the location of javaw.exe. I pointed it to the file located in the windows\system32 directory.
==================
Modify the "Target" of the shortcut which launches PNM ( Right click>Properties>Shortcut> Target field)
as below:
[ Assume C:\Program Files\Hewlett Packard\PNM\ is the folder where PCM is installed ]
Target: "C:\pcm\jre\bin\javaw.exe....."
CHANGE TO
Target: "C:\pcm\hp_pcm_jre\bin\javaw.exe..."
DO NOT MODIFY any other text in that Target line : only the change from \jre\ to \hp_pcm_jre\
Now launch the PCM using the updated link.
Let know if that fixed the problem

Re: PCM 3 upgrade problem
I meant
Target: "C:\Program Files\Hewlett Packard\PNM\jre\bin\javaw.exe....."
CHANGE TO
Target: "C:\Program Files\Hewlett Packard\PNM\hp_pcm_jre\bin\javaw.exe..."
....

Re: PCM 3 upgrade problem
i just upgraded from PCM2.3+ to 3.0 and i have exactly the same problem.
I can´t login with the local pcm client.
It works with the remote client, but after i added the license for V3.0 no remote client connections are accepted anymore.
any ideas ?
regards
Stephan
