PCM+4 Seems slow on polling devices

PCM+4 Seems slow on polling devices

PCM+4.00.02.457 seems slow in polling devices. I have 465 HP switches of various flavors that I monitor. No wireless monitoring enabled. I have discovery polling setting down to 1 minute with no changes in responsiveness.  Running on XP professional with 4 gig of ram and dual cpu. We had a device down over 20 minutes and it still showed green on PCM+. Any tips?

If I was doing any better, I'd be puking blood!
