altiris express pxe sever service starting then stopping
I am running RDP version V2 with PXE server and DHCP running on the same Windows 2003 server.
I have been able to build servers for a number of months but now my PXE server service starts then stops with the following errors in the event viewer.
SOCKET_ERROR: PxeService: Error in ReceivePacket() WSAGetLastError = 0x2746
then
ERROR: PxeService: WaitForPacket failed even after 3 retries. Giving Up..
then
ERROR: Unable to query master PXE proxyDHCP for multicast Address Allocation parameters
the other error message in the event viewer is
The Altiris eXpress PXE Server service terminated with service-specific error 1003 (0x3EB)
I can get DHCP to load with option 60 if I restart DHCP while the PXE server is up for the 10 seconds that the PXE server is up.

Re: altiris express pxe sever service starting then stopping
the output in PxeServicesDebugLog.Txt
is as follows
[16:39:09 11/17/2005] PxeService: InitReg DiscoveryServerIP = 0
[16:39:09 11/17/2005] PxeService: initreg- Our IP address = 255.255.255.255
Unable to query master PXE proxyDHCP for multicast Address Allocation parameters
---------------
where OUR IP adress is actually the correct address of the DHCP server/ PXE server
