DL380G5 fail to install Smart Array SAS/SATA Windows 2000 Driver During installation

Good Day,

I have download all the drivers from hp driver support website for windows 2000 and windows 2003.

During the installation, i have press F6 to include the SA P400i Driver and sas/sata driver.

However, after i try to delete the partition, it prompt to insert the SAS/SATA driver again.

This model do not have FDD. I am currently using an external USB FDD. Because we need to customize the windows folder using winnt.sif instead using smart start cd to start the win2k server installation.

Please Advise.

Regards

Have you tried installing using SmartStart 7.70?

If use smart cd to install windows 2000 server.. no problem. As mention earlier, we need to custom windows folder to something else. Using diskette, together with smart start cd only giving me blue screen

As far as I can remember there are issues with certain USB floppy models.

If you have a 'toshiba' like model USB floppy drive it should work. I have a 'sony' USB floppydrive but this drive shows the same symptoms by installing Windows; requesting again for the driverdisk.

So please try to use, if available, a 'toshiba' based USB floppy diskdrive.

Excuse me, I meant 'teac' based floppydisks.

Maybe this article is some of use for you;
