Migrating RDP to new server
I am currently running RDP 6.9 sp3 on a windows 2003 standard server. I plan to build a new windows 2008 R2 x64 server to replace it. I also plan to upgrade RDP to 6.2. How do I go about migrating my database, scripts, images, licenses, etc to the new server?
Should I install 6.9 sp3 on the new server first, migrate, and then upgrade to 6.2 or can I skip the 6.9 install?

Re: Migrating RDP to new server
Kerry,
Just having gone through this, there is no direct upgrade available from RDP 6.9SP3. All of you build jobs will have to be recreated by hand due to the change in the folder structure, changes to the format of tokens, etc.
I built a parallel system so I could compare output to make sure that I did not miss anything. You will have to adjust your PXE settings in the DHCP scope options to match your new server, or make the new server use the IP address of the old one. Assign the old server a new IP address.

Re: Migrating RDP to new server
Neal - thx for the reply. I upgraded to 6.2.0.16 and then applied the patch to bring it to 6.2.1.7 ( 6.9 sp4). Like you, I plan to build a parallel system so I can recreate all of my scripts, settings, etc from the old server.
