Moving RDP server from one network to another
I've run into an issue when moving our RDP server between networks. I'm running HP RDP 3.82 and we've been piloting it for some time in our lab network. We're finally ready to begin using it in production, but whenever I modify the IP addresses for the PXE configuration, the PXE component no longer appears to work. I receive an error stating the the "PXE configurator cannot be accessed" whenever I try to open it up.
Thus far the only solution I've stumbled upon is reinstalling just the Altiris PXE component, using the new network information as opposed to what it was in the lab environment.
The RDP server will need to be moved, yet again, to a new subnet soon and I'd like to know if there is an easier solution to this problem?

Re: Moving RDP server from one network to another
There is no easier fix.
The fact is... the IP address get embeeded into several components of RDP during the install. The only easy way to change the IP is to re-install the effected components.
Side note: If you want to change the name of the server... it would be easier to re-install rdp afterwards.
Alternatively, perhaps you can set a secondary addres on the server.. then before you move the box to the new subnet... run the pxe configuration utility and change the ip address that it is using.
I would have to check in my lab to see if that could even be done, but it migth work.
