Problem with winpe (1-touch from commvault) HP bl465c g1 running onboard nic NC370i
Hi,
I have a problem with drivers and HP NC370i onboard nic card. According to the specifications of the nic, it uses the broadcom 5706 communications processor : http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12401_div/12401_div.HTML
So I tried the HP windows native drivers. Did not work. I tried the ris/winpe drivers found on hp website. Still no success.
I then went on the chip manufacturer (Broadcom) and downloaded the windows server 2003 ris drivers:
http://www.broadcom.com/support/ethernet_nic/netxtremeii.php
and again.. No success. Win Pe refuses to boot the HP NC370i drivers and gives error "no communication with server".
And yes.. This is being used with commvault's one touch application. Basically an application that uses winpe to restore a server automatically.
Anybody have a suggestion as to what other drivers I could try?
I've had success with other servers and nics.. Such as nc373i, nc360t, nc326m.. I have been able to install the windows native driver and run winpe and restore servers. It's only this specific nic 370i that's giving me problems.
On broadcomm's website, it says that the problem is due to the virtual bus architecture..?
Thank you in advance.
