PSP on a vmware guest?

Hello, perhaps this is a silly question but is it possible to install Proliant Support Pack (PSP) 8.6 on a vmware guest? The guests in question are running Linux (RHEL). Since there is no physical hardware, I'm guessing it's not possible but wanted to check with the experts.

Any advise is appreciated.

Some components would install System Management Homepage but it would be essentially blank because as you say there is no physical hardware. There is no purpose in trying to run the PSP on a virtual machine. HP SIM gets all the information it would need through SSH.
