RDP 1.5 Windows 2000 Deployment Server and DNS

Is DNS required for RDP to work on a windows deployment server?
When I try to capture an image, I get the error "bad command or file name". Found that the 'net use f: \\servername\eXpresshare /yes' script line fails with 'computer name cannot be located'

DNS is not necessarily required, but it always helps to have it around.

Optionally, you can modify your batch files/scripts/boot images to use the IP Address of your deployment server instead of it's netbios name. That should lessen the need of DNS if you do not want to have DNS floating around the network.
