RDP 2.2 and BL45p Smart controller grief
the mass storage point, just before starting
the Windows GUI setup portion. Easily fixed I
hear, yep hit F6 and install the latest and
supported drivers. All then works beautifully.
The problem is where do I put these drivers so
that my scripted deploy will work ? I've tried
the textmode folder (and the others that have
the drivers in) but the deploy still fails at
the above place, again installing from a the
floppy works OK.
Help !!!

Re: RDP 2.2 and BL45p Smart controller grief
I worked on something related to this last year, I think you have to edit some of the .inf driver files to use the correct driver. As even if you copy the drivers over the installation will only use the ones it knows about - ie in the 1st inf file it talks to.
Sorry can't be much more help as I'm not near my notes

Re: RDP 2.2 and BL45p Smart controller grief
upgrade to one already there !
It's in cds\compaq\ss.730\wnet.....
but I know where you mean as well - haven't changed ours over to 2.2's layout yet - too much code hacking for one guy.

But you seem to have solved it.

Re: RDP 2.2 and BL45p Smart controller grief
only real pain in the .... is when HP
decideded to move everything around. All
our in-house code now runs from 1.X areas
but points to 2.X folders !!!!
Still can't get the 45p to pick up the mass
storage driver, but other series do - just
built a DL585 and that's fine !!!
