RDP 3.8 instalation on Server 2008

I have management server HP proliant DL 360 G5, installed Windows server 2008 Standard on it. I cannot install RDP 3.8 due to following error "error creating PXE default images. You will need to create them manually using PXE Configuration" How should I create them does anyone know correct procedure? When i trying to acces the console it gives me an error "unable to connect to the Altiris Deployment Server DB Management service" also fails instalation of HP Proliant integration module 3.80 due to some "console security" see atachment below

Could be why RDP is not supported on Windows 2008.

This isn't down to Server 2008. I am experiencing the exact same problem installing on 2003 R2 SP2. I also have a thread open on this issue, initially my DB problem was a corrupt ISO.

I have exactly the same issue except I'm attempting to install onto a windows 2003 R2 SP2 server. Does anyone know if there's a fix for this?

Are you installing RDP 3.8 remotely or from the console? If you use mstsc RDP will not install the PXE images. You must be at the console either through the iLO or Dameware or some other remote control utility, you just cant use Remote Desktop.

I too am having the same problem. I am trying to install RDP on a DL320 G5. The installation of the HP Proliant & Integrity modules also fail during the install, complaining about the following options

- WINPE & Linux Pre-Boot Operating System Files (-)

and warns on

- WinPE and Linux PXE Boot Menu Options (!)
- IIS FTP (!)

Am not sure how to proceed? Perhaps RDP 3.7 is a more stable install?

Does anyone know if TightVNC falls into the same category as Remote Desktop?

TightVNC gets me beyond the Creating PXE images wait forever state, but now I am stopped at the verify screen.

Console Security is showing as failed.
(Required) Console Security needs to be disabled when upgrading.

Anyone have an idea on what this means??

Ok. Nevermind, I had to open Altiris Console and disable Security options for the upgrade.

I see that teh fix to the upgarde problem was to open Altiris and disable the upgarde options in teh security. i am still new to RDP and could not find exactly where that was located to make that happen.
