RDP Clients disconnecting from console

I have a fresh installation of RDP 2.2 (Altiris 6.5 HF1). An upgrade from a previous version failed.

Anyway, now I sporadically get clients that won't reconnect to the server. On the client side, you cannot close the client nor stop and restart the service. You have to kill the aclient.exe process.

Does anyone know what is going on and how to fix it?

Thanks,

Dan

Re: RDP Clients disconnecting from console

Dan,

Are you using Cisco blade switches with Copper SFPs that have yellow 'flaps' and are made in Malaysia?

If so its possible that the SFP's are having an unreliable connection to the Cisco switch.

We've seen a connectivity problem on 3 sites. Not sure how its being resolved at the moment.

If you have this setup - connect using the front ports to verify if problem goes away.

Re: RDP Clients disconnecting from console

These serves are plugged into Cisco 6509's with gig copper and fiber.

Any other ideas? This is really annoying.

Thanks,

Dan
