RDP issue!

Hi everybody,
I have a couple of question about it.
I would like to describe my env first:

RDP 1.60

RDP Server /PXE Server / DHCP Server: on a WIN2003Srv

clients: 20 WIN2003srv and 18 RHES3 up2

all this env works.. also if sometimes I lost the connections with the linux clients!

I know there are new releases: 3.00 and 3.10
I've download the 3.10 but the installation fails!!!

And..I read the support matrix of the 3.10 and 3.00 release.. they don't support the RHES3up3.
It's possible that if I upgrade RDP release I have to change the linux oprating system according to the support matrix guide (3.00 and 3.10).

What you suggest me? I heard about Control Tower.. can I use it on a pro-liants env?

Hello,

I've tried to download 3.0 too, but licencing scheme is different.

I am using RDP 2.10 which supports according to compatibility matrix support up to RHES3 U4, yet i use RHES3 U5.
I manage to install RH3U8 without too much problem.
(I am on same configuration as you)

Hi JEan,
now I'm trying the 2.00 version.. and it works.. I 've hust create an image of a RHAS 3 update 2.

I've tried to download (from HP web site) and install the 3.10 and 3.00 rdp version... but I receive the error in attach when I start the install. also becouse (in the future) I would like to have an RDP version that supports a RHAS 4 ...

... whath do you mean when you say: but licencing scheme is different. Can you use the same license of rdp 1.60??

hello,

my 2.10 licence work in 2.20 but not in 3.00.
(3.10 not tested but unlikely to work)

I have detailed step need to "install" a redhad version on RDP, but it is in french. I'll translate tomorrow.

Can RDP s/w be installed on Windows server 2000 after OS hardening

If hardening is not there RDP is getting installed
