RDP Re-Install

Hi

Our RDP server has crashed, and we need to reinstall it. Once it is reinstalled, will it detect the old Blade servers? would any changes need to be done in the configuration of the new RDP server.

Re: RDP Re-Install

If you manage to save your Database then you should be successful in getting back all your info.

Re: RDP Re-Install

We had no backup for the database, we only had a HDD backup from a RAID-1 pair, which did not work. The RAID-1 showed failed. Can the New RDP detect all the old blades?

Re: RDP Re-Install

Your new RDP server should find all your blades, thats if all your agents are still installed and can connect to the new RDP sever.Make sure all the settings dont change during the new installation.

Re: RDP Re-Install

As long as you use the same settings, IP name, etc... your blades hould "re-login" to the new server. Unfortunatelly, you've lost all your history and custom jobs, custimized files, etc.

Re: RDP Re-Install

Hi

We were able to recover the Data from the RAID-1 HDD, thus the problem solved.

Thanks
