Re: Update System Management Homepage from PSP 7.10 to PSP 7.30 on a DC
i have the same issue on my DC (PL 5500, Windows Server 2003 german, without SP1).
If i try to update from PSP 7.10 to PSP 7.30 i get the same error messages.
The System Management Homepage shows status unknown and does not display any device.
If i can not solve this, i will downgrade to PSP 7.10, because PSP 7.20 had the same issue.
Regards,
Kai-Uwe

Solutioni found the solution, at least it worked for me. See http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=PSD_ES050408_CW01
---cut--
"HP System Management Homepage May Not Install from ProLiant Support Pack 7.20 if Domain Username Contains Special Characters"
The installation of HP System Management Homepage from ProLiant Support Pack (PSP) Version 7.2 may not complete if the user is logged in using a domain account username that contains special characters (! # % @). For example, User#name or Username!#. This can occur if the PSP installation was performed locally, remotely, or from an HP Systems Insight Manager (HP SIM) task.
Resolution
A future version of HP System Management Homepage will properly install from the ProLiant Support Pack.
Until the upgrade is available, use one of the following methods to install HP System Management Homepage:
Use a domain administrator account that does not contain special characters (! # % @).
OR
Use a local administrator account (special characters in a local administrator account are allowed).
---cut--
I used a account with a #, so the installation fails. After switching to a account without any special character, it works ;-)

Kai-Uwe
