Upgrading RDP from 2.1 to 2.2

I've an RDP environment based on Altiris 6.1 and RDP 2.1 used to manage some BP20p. All application (DHCP/PXE also) are on the some server (DL380 with Win2K3 std ed. SP1). The eXpress database is on a dedicated SQLServer installation on another machine.

Today I'm starting to manage some BL35p.
The standard scripted installation (used for the first BL20) doesn't work.
I've upgraded to Altiris 6.5 Hotfix 1 using the software located on HP's CD. I've also tried to install the HP 2.20 proliant integration module (from the some location) but it fail during the "import jobs" step. I've tried with 3 different CDs... (is not a media problem).

After I've installed Altiris 6.5 hotfix 2 (downloaded fron Hp site) but the problem is the same.

I think that is possible to install manually the PIM 2.20 (because is possible to import a jobs from CD using Altiris console) but could be long......

Can anyone help me?

Thanks a lot.

Re: Upgrading RDP from 2.1 to 2.2

Hi Massimo Sironi

You are correct.
However, it is not possible to do at a time.

*** Step ***
1. Start "Deployment Console" using double click Desktop-icon.
2. Click [file] - [Import/Export] - [Import Jobs]
3. Click "Browse" and Select :\pim\jobs\.bin
4. check "Import to Job Folder" and Select Job-folder
5. Click OK

Re: Upgrading RDP from 2.1 to 2.2

Hi Yuichiro Kitamura,

These steps are the only needed to upgrade to RDP 2.2 or I need to do something else? (for example copy other file from CD to Altiris directory structure?

Thanks.

Massimo
