Win2003 SP2 scripted install fails with RDP 3.82

I have a slipstreamed Win2003 SP2 x64 that fails during install with "the file ql2300.sys is corrupted." The release notes for RDP3.82 says you need Win2003 SP2 or higher or blue screen results. I believe I am installing SP2 but it still fails. Anyone get this to work? Already downloaded media again and replaced old version but still fails.

Re: Win2003 SP2 scripted install fails with RDP 3.82

I have exactly the same problem with RDP3.81 and x32 slipped to SP2

I believe this to be a problem with the $oem$ textmode drivers but am still testing

Any other comments would be welcome

Just found this and after posting the same question tried slipstreaming SP2 into W2K3 R2 Enterprise and it all worked perfectly.

I would make sure you do have SP2 slipstreamed in.

I am having the same issue. I installed W2K3 upgrade to SP2 then install RDP 3.82 and ql2300.sys corrupted. What do you mean by slipstreamed Win2003 SP2?

Thanks

Re: Win2003 SP2 scripted install fails with RDP 3.82

Gene,

Slipstreaming means inserting the files of a service pack into the install folder for a windows distribution

For SP2 goto
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsserver/bb229701.aspx
Download ├в x86 on Download Center├в
Download it onto the root folder of the same disk partition as the RDP install eg D:\
Rename it W2K3SP2.EXE

D:\W2K3SP2.EXE /integrate:\\servername\express\lib\osdist\w52s- for updating Windows 2003 Standard
D:\W2K3SP2.EXE /integrate:\\servername:\lib\osdist\w52e- for updating Windows 2003 Enterprise

The only thing I can add, is for x64 SP2 slipstream to work, it has to be done on an x64 system. If you are using a 32bit system to integrate the SP2 files into a x64 operating system, it will fail.
