Windows - Delayed Write Failed

I'm tried to upload an image of a BL20pG3. The operating systems is Windows 2000 SP4 server. I received the following error message: "Windows-Delayed Write Failed: Windows was unable to save all the data for the file \\express_server\express\win2000.002. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere"
The upload task was able to create the 1st image file without any problem but failed on the 2nd file. This operating systems have 3 partitions.

Any ideas?

Re: Windows - Delayed Write Failed

This *tends* to be network issues. Is your RDP NIC and switch both set to AUTO?

Is your Client and switch both set to AUTO?

Re: Windows - Delayed Write Failed

RDP Server - 100 Full
Switch - 100 Full

Client - 100 Full
Switch - 100 Full

If this is network issue, then how come the task was able to create a 2 GB first image file but failed on the 2nd one - 5 mb.

Also, our upload throughput is very slow. It average 10 to 15 mbs but the download average 300 to 500 mbs.

Re: Windows - Delayed Write Failed

Is it possible to set everything to AUTO [RDP, Switch, and client]? Also if your using NIC teaming unteam the NIC.

It would be nice to take the network out of the equation.

If you can test your time and results.

Re: Windows - Delayed Write Failed

We are seeing the exact same probelem. The first part of the image writes fine then fails on the second chunk.

Were you able to fix this?

Thanks,

Dan
