Windows Partition Alignment

I'm using the latest 7 release of RDP. I notice the scripted deployment jobs lay down an NTFS image from a file called NTFS.img. This filesystem is aligned ot sector 63 which will likely cause misalgniment and a performance hit. Is there any reason for this, perhaps something to do with the smart array setup ?
