15 Minute Reboot!
Hello,
We have TWO Proliant DL380's. Each was setup using the latest and greatest Smart Start CD and Windows 2000. The boxes are configured as simple file servers with static IP Addresses. Both boxes were updated with IE 6.0, Win2k SP2, and the latest Compaq Support Paq for Win2k.
When the server is shutdown (Shutdown, or Shutdown & Restart), the process takes a full 15 minutes on both servers. I'm going NUTS trying to resolve this problem. Any suggestions for me??
As far as I know, all firmware and drivers are up-to-date... But it's possible I missed something. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks,
Troy

Re: 15 Minute Reboot!
One possibility, no guaranties. In Win2k you can set the Local Security Policy, Security settings to enable "Clear Virtual memory page file when shutting down". If your page file is large, it takes a long time to shutdown. Try setting this to Disabled.
