1716 error on HP DL 380 G5 after replacing failed SAS 72GB drive in array
I noticed today after replacing a failed drive under Carepaq a 1716 error- Slot 1 Drive array - Unrecoverable media error detection on drives during previous rebuild or background surface analysis(ARM) scan. Error will be fixed automatically when the sectors are overwritten. (Backup and restore recommended).
I flashed everything I could possibly flash on this server to the latest firmware, but still seeing this on reboot. The drives all seem to be ok in HP Insight diagnostics. Do I need to worry about this error?. Is this correctable. I don't want to have to reconfigure the drive array, and then restore from backup if I don't need to at this point. Server boots up and comes online with no issues other than this message at POST. Anyone know what the next thing to do at this point? Thanks. It's part of a Windows Cluster for MS Exchange servers.
