2008 R2 Core Build NCU states additional Network Config Programs are active


Error during SCCM build of R2 Datacentre Core - installing the NCU often fails with error code 0xFFFFFFFD.

There are no other networking applications open (this is core and during build!) so not sure why this fails.

Exact error is : HP Network Configuration Utility installation cannot be done while network configuration programs are active. Please close all Network Property sheets and try again.

Appreciate any help with this

Garym,

What server? BIOS? ILO?
What network interface (LOM? which one)
What is the firmware on the network interface?
What version of NCU?

If all is up-to-date, then do what it says and wait until all network configurations (with property sheets open) have completed. I've never seen this happen myself. But, I've never installed core, either.
