2nd CPU not seen after boot up

Using a DL380 G3 with two 3.2 GHz CPUs and hyperthreading enabled...after powering on computer, the bios correctly sees both CPUs. After logging into RedHat LINUX ES 3.0, I start the top utility and see only a single CPU. I take the hard drives out of the problem DL380 and put into another DL380 and both CPUs are seen by the top utility as 4 distinct CPUs, ruling out the operating system. I have swaped CPUs around between DL380s and the issue remains with the problem DL380, ruling out the CPUs. Any idea as to what is happening to the 2nd processor in this DL380?

Re: 2nd CPU not seen after boot up

Set OS type to Linux in RBSU (ROM-Based Setup Utility) (F9 at the end of POST).

Re: 2nd CPU not seen after boot up

Thanks! That hint help solve the problem. The OS Type was already set to LINUX, although when I changed it from LINUX to another type then back to LINUX and exited the RBSU it worked. The Operating system then recognized both the CPUs and with hyperthreading the "top" utility reported on 4 distinct CPUs. Thanks again for the help.
