Hi,
I have an HPE ProLiant ML350 G10 server with two disk units of HPE Solid State Drive - 2.5" Internal - 960 GB. Before installing the ESXi I created a logical array pointing to the two disks using intelligent provisioning.
After that I installed the ESXi 7.0 u3 (standard) on the server using the Rapid Setup option. After the whole installation process the ESXi works properly. There is only one question and that is that it only detects one disk, the other one I cannot assign to a new datastore because it does not appear.
In Storage -> Devices I have:
Local HPE RAID Ctlr (t10.D4963627F6368607D29701275091D8B7) / MODEL: P408i-a SR Gen10 / Capacity: Unknown

Re: Query: 2nd SSD disk not detected on ESXi 7.0 u3 (standard image)
How I can install a customized HPE 7.0 ESXi image in a HP ML350 Gen10 server that has already installed ESXi 7.0?
I would appreciate the steps to be performed.

Re: 2nd SSD disk not detected on ESXi 7.0 u3 (standard image)
Hi pter11,
Which RAID option you opted while performing Raping Setup?
As per your post, you have selected both the disks for configuring the RAID. Rapid setup might have created RAID 1 (mirroring) in which both disks will be used and mirrored, So you have 895GB of usable space.
If happened so, you cannot get the disks to use further to create new space.
Hope this HPE Technology video may guide you better.

Re: 2nd SSD disk not detected on ESXi 7.0 u3 (standard image)
Yes, you are absolutely right.
I have selected the two disks to configure the RAID and I have created a RAID 1 (mirrored).
What easier option do you recommend to be able to have both discs available in ESXi?
could this RAID configuration be changed without affecting the ESXi?
I wanted to try with RAID but it might not be mandatory to have it on the server for the use I will make.

SolutionHi Pter11,
Yes, you can reconfigure the RAID as RAID 0 drive, so that you can get atleast double of the current RAID1 size. But you will loose the current Esxi and data, need to reconfigure it.

Re: 2nd SSD disk not detected on ESXi 7.0 u3 (standard image)
As I read the post I take that he is trying to use both disks individually. In that case you would create a single raid 0 with one of the disks, then create a second raid 0 with the remaining disk. Esxi would see each indivual disk.
