8GB Fiber Channel HBA in a DL380G10 server
Hi team,
my client order a server and had an older FIber channel storage running at 8GB. The DL380G10 offers 16Gb FC and 32GB FC. I had an HPE engineer suggest the AJ763B 8gb dual port and that is what we went with. the customer is now saying he is having issues. is there a fix?

Re: 8GB Fiber Channel HBA in a DL380G10 server
These 16GB Dual Port FC Cards are supported in the DL380 Gen10:
Q0L14A HPE SN1200E 16Gb Dual Port Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter
P9D94A HPE SN1100Q 16Gb Dual Port Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter
The 16GB Card is backward compatible with 8GB (It will Link to 16/8/4GB), so you can connect the 8GB Storage without any Problem.
As far, as I know, there is no 8GB FC Card supported in the Gen10 Server, see: https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00008180enw.html
