A server for an SMB
Hi guys,
I was just wondering if I could post a server composition here for review. I'm a little worried about being ripped off by the distributors.
Planned system: DL350 Gen 10 with P408i-a SR Gen10 controller, environment: SMB with 10 users, a little database and e-mail, no more. Operating system environment: Classic Windows server system with Server 2022 Core as Hypervisor, one VM for the DC and database and one VM for Exchange 2019.
I would like to give the server a 4 TB Raid 1 of slow hard disks, where backups are temporarily stored and where installation data is located. A second, fast SSD RAID 1 should accommodate the boot partition with 75 GB and a partition for the two VM files.
Would anyone like to comment on this? Is this basically plausible? Can the controller handle two RAIDs of different technology without slowing down the SSDs?
I look forward to one or two comments,
Stefano

Re: A server for an SMB
Hi,
There is no DL350 Gen10.
If SMB means Small & Midsize Businesses, you can check these offers.
Please check the server model and refer to its QuickSpecs if it can handle two types of hard drives simultaneously.
Thank You!
