Acrserve 2000 Backup may slow down after W2K SP4 and SSD 6.40
We had recently installed the W2K SP4 (including the RPC-DCOM-FIX) and SSD 6.40 on our ML 530 G2 (2,4 Ghz) Servers. But now we had trouble with Arcserve 2000 on our DLT8000-Drives. The compare operation slow down (or hang ?) for a long time ( more than 1 hours). There is no error in all available logfiles.
On a other ML 570 (with an Compaq SCSI-Chipset) all works fine.
Is there a possible problem with the apatec adpu160m.sys from SSD 6.40 ?
I had now upgraded the devicesupport (QO41394.CAZ) from Arcserve and must wait now what happens.
Regards,
Matthias Zahn

Re: Acrserve 2000 Backup may slow down after W2K SP4 and SSD 6.40
There is a known problem with the HP Storage management Agent, stop this service before your start the backup job to see if this will solve your problem.
I thought this should be solved with version 6.40 but it's worth a shot.
