ACU for windows 2000 advance server version 2.8

I recently upgraded the firmware for smart array 3100es controller to version 4.5 and used the ACU version 2.8 to configure the array but under the controller selection always display "3100ES controller, unknown slot".
Why is it alway display unknown slot ? When server bootup, it shows the array controller is in slot 11. Any ideas what to do next ?

Use a more recent ACU and update the BIOS firmware.
We are here for a good time, not a long time!

I thought ACU 2.8 is the latest. I have also upgraded the bios fireware to latest.
But I found I need to install system management controller drivers for windows 2000 in order for ACU to detect the raid card in the slot. Why is that so ?
