Adding 2nd drive and creating a Raid 1 Array

I have a DL-380 with 1 SCSI 36GB drive in bay 0/0
that contains the OS and server programs. I would like to add a 2nd drive into bay 0/1 and mirror the first drive. Can this be done with the Compaq Array utility without impacting the OS and programs on first disk or will it require a complete re-configuration of the unit.

Yes you would be fine, if Smart Array Controller used to create your Array A with single physical drive, it will support Online RAID Level Migration Supported. Before you Proceed Verify three components SCSI Driver, Firmware for Array Controller and Latest Array Configuration Utility http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/index.html
