Adding 2nd drive to existing array
I have an ML350 G5 with an E200i controller.
2x SAS and 2x SATA drives installed. The SATA drives are mirrored and one of the SAS drives is set in its own array with logical drive as RAID 0. I boot from this SAS drive.
I have two questions.
1.How do I add my 2nd SAS drive into the existing SAS array.
2. How do I convert this cofiguration from RAID 0 to RAID 1+0, without losing the O/S on the existing SAS drive?
Can this be done?

Re: Adding 2nd drive to existing array
hewre's the wierd part.
HP delivered this server with a SINGLE physical drive set as a logical drive and configured as RAID 0.
I thought RAID 0 insisted on a minimum of 2 drives, hence my confusion.
It turns out that once a drive has been placed in a RAID array of a particular type, in this case RAID 0, you cannot change the RAID type to something else without losing the data on the drive.
Thanks for your help
