Adding 2nd Processor to ML370
I have added a 2nd processor to my ML370 (1GHz) alon with a 2nd VRM. The BIOS is up to date and sees both processors.
I have completely reinstalled Win 2K using Smartstart 5.1. On firing up the Windows bootstrap page (the one in colour with the logos etc) the progress bar gets to about 75% and the machine reboots.
Any guide as to where I have gone wrong would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ian

Re: Adding 2nd Processor to ML370
Ian:
Check for the latest BIOS and firmware(s) from here:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/locate/20_1119.html
Other than that, I'd be inclined to check the CPU steppings. Please check this article:
