adding 2nd processor

On an existing production server, after physically adding a 2nd processor to the server, how do I get the multiprocessor HAL and appropriate files installed into NT.

I don't know if it has something to do with the appropiate HAL, but I have a 1600 with 2 x 266 PII, I installed the server with 2 processors and it works but when I upgraded the memory the server does not start and it gives an error in the HAL startup, when I remove the new memory it works again. Is this an error for unappropiate HAL?

Update the HAL using the SSD from Compaq for the model of 1600. You will see an option for the Multiprocessor HAL. Microsoft also has the process documented on their website. As for the memory failure, that is not the normal error I have seen on a server which does not have the multiprocessor kernel loaded. The system usually boots fine and then you load the multiprocessor HAL and all is fine.
