Adding a Sound card to a DL380 G2 Server (W2K server)
Greetings. We have a DL380 G2 that my boss wants to load Windows 2000 Server (Standard) on, and then place in his office. He is testing some new apps on this server and wants to keep it close at hand. He wants to add sound to this server, and then hook it to his speakers, as he would a PC. The server has three 64 bit PCI slots and two USB ports. I am wondering if I can install a PCI sound card, or is it better to go with something like a SoundBlaster Exigy unit, which is external and connects via USB? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
