Adding Online Space

can we add hot spare disk to the existing array.

i have HP ML370 with one slot emtpy onthe array controller

Hi,

1- the steps to configure an online spare are the same for all SCSI SA-Controllers.

2- Place the spare into the empty slot and run ACU either from SS CD or from the OS (HP System tools on start -> all programs)

3- Once on ACU, select your Logical Drive, on teh right column you'll see "Spare Managment" option, go there and select the recently added or free drive to be the online spare.

4- Apply changes.
