Adding second processor
We want to add second processor into our Proliant 6000 with
PentiumIII Xeon 500 Mhz installed. After adding and power on,
we saw the following message.
Unsupported processor type
System halted
Proliant recognized processors as:
Slot1: Pentium Xeon at 500Mhz with 512 kb cache <- old processor
Slot2: Pentium Xeon at 500Mhz with 2 Mb cache <- new processor
Then we removed old processor, but it was the same result.
If the problem is outdated BIOS, what BIOS update (version) do we need for remedy?
