Advisory: HPE SSD - Prevent Potential System "No Boot" Error on certain SSD
Researching a drive model I'm about to purchase, I note this scary sounding advisory linked below:
This advisory claims the resolution is to update the firmware, but this only applies if the drives are directly connected and not attached to a controller. No resolution is provided for the scenario where the drives are managed by a controller.
If these drives are part of a RAID array on a MR408i-o controller on a DL360 G11 system, what do you do ???
EDIT - I'm guessing the answer may be to disable the iLo security settings, but if that's the case it seems like a rather poor alternative...
