Any beta agents for .NET to slow fan

I'm testing with a beta .NET on a ML370. The fan is loud and obnoxious. I would like to locate an agent to load to slow this down, even if it's a beta version. Perhaps wire cutters might do the trick.
Any ideas?

Still the same issue with Server 2003 RTM (build 3790)...

Did you try the support pack for Win 2003?

I bet wire cutters will do the job though.
