APIC Mode Setting
Please explain the difference between Full Table and Full Table Mapped. The Compaq Customer I'm currently working with would like to see an official document with the definitions of the different settings.
Thanks,
Glenn Church

Re: APIC Mode Setting
There is no official document on the settings...
The basics are... APIC is "Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller". This controls how the systems and multiple CPUs interact with each other (timing, Interrupts...etc...). It needs to be set properly for the system and OS involved. For Win2K and NT it's usually "Full Table, Mapped" or "Full Table" (in the case of very old systems and firmware - it may be "EISA Mapped").
Other OS' may have different requirements.
