Array Expansion with new hard drive

I have a Proliant 7000 that contains two RAID 5 Arrays running on Windows NT 4.0 SP6. Array A contains the C: and D: drives with three 9.1 hard drives. Array B contains the E: Drive with six 9.1 hard drives. I have installed into the next available slot a new 9.1 hard drive but when I run the Array Configuration I receive an error message stating that I cannot expand Array B because there are no unasigned physical drives available. What do I need to do in order for the system to recognize the new hard drive so I can place it in Array B? The server has three sections for hard drives to be installed and each section can hold up to six hard drives. The first section contains Array A and there are three slots available. The second section contains Array B and there are no slots available so I inserted the new hard drive into the third section. Do I have to do anything to the third section in order for it to be recognized in the Array Configuration?

Re: Array Expansion with new hard drive

What you need to do is to highlight ARRAY B and then choose Modify. Then you should see a HDD on the left side associated with port3 or whatever port it is attached to. Choose done.
If it does see the HDD please check the cabling.
