Array Rebuild
We have swapped over a 9GB hot swap drive connected to a SMART 2D/I card in a RAID 5 con fig, because of a failure.
The rebuild and expand settings in CPQONLIN were set to LOW.
The server just goes into QUEUED and never starts to rebuild the array. We have changed the setting to HIGH and re booted the server, but server still says QUEUED. Does anyone know how to get the array to rebuild as we now have no fault tolerance.

Re: Array Rebuild
Try removing the drive , reboot the server , you should get a drive failure , allow the server to continue to boot after the OS loads and the Server is up , reinstall the drive , rebuild should start .

Re: Array Rebuild
Roger's suggestion is very good. If the rebuild still does not start, check the firmware revision on the array controller (visable during POST). Smart 2 DH controller should be at least to version 4.44 and may not rebuild a newer drive if it is significantly behind. This is available on SP12897.EXE, Disk 1 and can be found at http://www.compaq.com/support/files/server/us/download/9044.html
