ASR Reboot on DL380G4 during Oracle10g rman backup
Hello,
I'm having a problem with two DL380 systems performing ASR reboots.
These seem to be occurring under high system load, and all reboots have occurred whilst an oracle rman backup is being run to the local disk.
They are both running Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 3 (Taroon Update 3).
These are the 1st HP systems we've installed, as previously we'd been building everything in-house, so any asssistance appreciated.
Attached is the survey report from one of the systems
Cheers
Dave

Re: ASR Reboot on DL380G4 during Oracle10g rman backup
Hi Dave,
I've got a HP BL20P G3 performing ASR reboots when under high system load during the Oracle rman compression process.
The server OS is also Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 3 but Taroon Update 7.
I've got a job logged with HP and am waiting to here there reply.
I've shutdown the server and performed memory tests with Memtest86+ and the results showed no errors. HP Insight Diagnostics also shows no hardware errors.
I have disbled the ASR agent.
I'm wondering if you made any headway in resolving this issue?
thanks,
tait sanders
