B140i Smart Array Driver Issue?
Hello all - I wonder if anyone can corroborate what I'm seeing with the latest (Windows) version of the B140i driver, 62.2.0.64. I think the problem seems to be affecting write performance. I have caching enabled on the volumes and I also have physical drive wirte caching enabled on the controller. When I roll back to the previous driver, 62.0.0.64, without making any other changes, write performance dramatically improves and is where I expect it to be for my setup. I tried this more than once and each time I see results like attached. I am staying on the older driver for now, but it would be nice to get to the bottom of what's causing it.

Re: B140i Smart Array Driver Issue?
I don't have an answer to why. What does the screenshot state?
Question, why worry about not being able to install an old driver? Install the latest which has many improvements over the original release

Re: B140i Smart Array Driver Issue?
Agreed.
There is even a newer version 62.12.0.64:

Why do you want to install the oldest driver available?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: B140i Smart Array Driver Issue?
If you read the fixes of previous versions you will find:
... Significant performance improvements.
Are you using the latest driver and the latest BIOS?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: B140i Smart Array Driver Issue?
I have a similar problem with the B120i Smart Array.
I have two Samsung SSD 850 Pro 512 GB in a Raid 1.
2 year ago, I save a Parkdale quick access print screen result, where can get 481.7Mbyte/sec Write Speed and 865.7Mbyte/sec Read Speed.
Today, the best value i get is just about 195Mbyte/sec Write Speed but get Read Speed expected values.
please help, any ideias?
