BIOS / Boot Partition
I have deleted the system partition that is used for changing system configs. I need to swap my boot device to CD to reinstall the Smart Start, but I can not set to boot from cd.

Re: BIOS / Boot Partition
My suggestion is to remove the drives *slightly* so they're not connected to the backplane, and run the erase utility. This will clear the NVRam on the System Board and on the raid controller, without jeopardizing the data on the drives. After the erase you should be able to boot from CD and thereby run System Config.

Re: BIOS / Boot Partition
you can also download the system configuration utility from www.compaq.com/support/files/server - create the disketts and boot from them to re-install the partition
