BIOS Password - Changing
Need to know how to change the BIOS password and the power on password. I have set them and now wish to change them. Can't find it in the documentation nor on the website.
PS
Can anyone direct me to where I can find some good doco on the BIOS in general as the manual references the "Documentation CD" which I can't find. I've plenty of Compaq CD's but nothing that screams "Documentation".

Re: BIOS Password - Changing
To delete Power On Password, at the key prompt type password/
(add a / at the end of the password)
To change password type oldpassword/newpassword newpassword filling in your passwords for the above entries and putting a space between the newpasswords.
Same for administrator password - hit f10 and do the same at the administrators password prompt. Any other information in this forum would compromise many passwords throughout the readers

Re: BIOS Password - Changing
Did not completely work.
I can delete the password but I cannot change it. The format "oldpassword"slash"newpassword"space"newpassword" does not seem to work.
I have tried variations on the theme but no luck.
The System ROM info is:
Revision P17, date 12/10/1999
