BL25p: Unsigned driver dialog pops up on first boot -- why?
We have a standard Windows Server 2003 SP1 image that does NOT contain any HP-specific drivers. We detect hardware manufacturer inside a run-once script, then launch Proliant Support Pack 7.50 if it's an HP machine.
We do this using setupc.exe /use-latest.
Now, this works very well for DL360/680 servers. On BL25p, upon first boot after sysprep minisetup, Windows fires up this new device found dialog along with a complaining one that asks for authorizing an unsigned driver. We're puzzled with this. Who or what process would attempt to load this unsigned driver?
In addition, our process kicks setupc /use-latest. The minute it hits cp006086.exe, system reboots without any error or notification. We believe it may be in conflict with this popped up dialog.
If we reboot the box manually one more time and then perform setupc /use-latest, it works.
We appreciate any input you can provide.
Thanks,
Baris.

Re: BL25p: Unsigned driver dialog pops up on first boot -- why?
Hi,
cp006086 is for iLO Advanced and Enhanced System Management Controller Driver.
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/23897.html?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
Where ILO is different in blades then DL servers. Where as even i am checking on it.
Hope i get lucky.
