Blue Screen Trap
I have a Proliant 6000
4X400
2 GB RAM
Running SQL 7.0
that gets the following error randomly over the month. usually about once a week or so:
The Compaq System Management Driver has detected that the system encountered an NT bugcheck during the previous Windows NT session. The bugcheck data was: STOP: 0x0000000A (0x74656D1E, 0x0000001C, 0x00000000, 0x80118488)
the server reboots normally but this is the only log I can find with an error other than those creating while booting that detect improper shutdown.
any suggestions are greatly appreciated

Re: Blue Screen Trap
Bad driver. You are getting a bluescreen, not an application exception. That means it's a driver or kernel issue.
See:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/ddtools/hh/ddtools/bcintro_3dkj.asp
Update your drivers to the latest available. If you can get a dump, you *might* find out which driver is causing the problem.
Don't forget to check your memory (use the system diags).
