Boot Drive on ML750.Proliant 8000
My server has 3 cages :0,1,2). Is Cage 0, Drive 0 always the boot drive? I was just reading a blurb (regularPC, not server) where user wanted to boot off SSD but system assigned number after other drives and he could not boot.
I want to boot off an SSD in a PCIe slot and use SCSI drives for storage.
Any problem with servers in this configuration (possible?)?
Thanks Robert

Re: Boot Drive on ML750.Proliant 8000
The server in question has 3 drive cages, each can accommodate 7 drives.
https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/c04282311
The default controller is the 4250ES, and the ProLiant 8000 supports up to 21 drives.

The server should be able to boot regardless of which cage the boot volume is located in.
Additionally, I do not see any mention of a solid-state drive or PCIe boot option in the quickspecs.
