Boot problems when new hdd installed
I just got a new add for my server and after installing it in the hot plug drive cage the computer boots and windows starts. I get the first boot screen for windows 2000 and then the system halts giving me a blue screen displaying that the add may not be good or has viruses on it. So I checked if the system boots o. with only the new add and I can install windows on it without any problems. If anybody can help me drop a line please.

Re: Boot problems when new hdd installed
firstly make sure that it DOESNT have any virus' on it. second if you have an array controller then configure it through the acu ..array configuration utilty...clear that drive of all data before beginning the process. verify all cabling is good and have no bent pins. .if it continues then you might have a bad drive...
