Hi,

Received the following message when attempting to build the server:

"Parity Check 2 - System DIMM Memory"

Machine has halted...

Any ideas,

How much memory is in the system? Have you verifyed that the correct memory modules are installed. See the QRG for memory configuration and part number information at this web addres.

If the correct memory modules are installed, download and make the Compaq server diagnostic disk. Run the memory tests on the system. Replace any failing memory indicated by the Compaq diagnostics under your Compaq warranty. You can download and make the diagnostic disk from this web address.

Hi,

Yes that was the problem. We had added an extra 1.5 GB to the originally installed 0.5 GB. I ran diagnostics and discovered faulty modules.
